Po - Eun Hyung

This video is from Grandmaster Javed Khan teaching Po-Eun Pattern/ Hyung to his Black Belt students in his class. This Pattern has 36 movements and is the pattern required to advance from 1st Degree Black Belt to 2nd Degree Black Belt. Meaning of Pattern: Po Eun is the pseudonym of the loyal subject Chong Mong-Chu (1400) who was a famous poet and whose poem ‘I would not serve a second master though I might be crucified a hundred times’ is known to every Korean. He was also a pioneer in the field of physics. The diagram represents his unbending loyalty to his king and country towards the end of the Koryo dynasty. This pattern teaches valuable lessons for close-quarter fighting.
